Digital Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 2026

Our commitment. Wiki Kids Online FZC is committed to making the Mindexy / AppCoursesOnline Platform accessible to all users, including persons with disabilities, in accordance with Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act), the European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. This Statement forms an integral part of Art. 22 of the Terms and Conditions and may be invoked as a legal basis in any remedy procedure.

1. Scope

1.1. This Statement applies to the Platform accessible at https://www.mindexy.com and associated domains (mindexy.com, appcoursesonline.com), including all four sub-platforms: soroban, speedreading, english and chess.
1.2. The following are excluded from this Statement: (a) third-party content (embedded YouTube/Vimeo videos, external advertisements), for which the accessibility statements of the respective providers apply; (b) archived PDF files published before 28 June 2025, in accordance with Art. 7(1)(e) of the EAA.

2. Level of conformity

2.1. Status: Partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Active improvement work is underway to reach full conformity.
2.2. Partial compliance is due to: (a) the progressive implementation of the EAA requirements in force from 28.06.2025; (b) certain components inherited from previous versions of the Platform that do not yet meet all criteria; (c) the items listed in Section 3 below.
2.3. The Provider maintains its voluntary and enforceable commitment to fully comply with WCAG 2.1 AA, in accordance with Art. 22.7 of the Terms and Conditions, notwithstanding its microenterprise status which would allow the derogation set out in Art. 4(5) of the EAA.

3. Non-conformant content — known at the date of this Statement

The following items are known not to fully meet the WCAG 2.1 AA criteria at the time of publication:
  • Interactive exercises (soroban, chess): some exercises based on complex drag-and-drop or sequential-click interactions do not yet offer full keyboard alternatives. Estimated remediation: Q4 2026.
  • Mathematical content: mathematical formulas and soroban diagrams use visual representations that are not yet fully described by alternative text for screen readers. Estimated remediation: Q1 2027.
  • Video captions: not all tutorial videos yet have full synchronised captions in all supported languages; English and Romanian captions are prioritised. Estimated remediation: Q2 2027.
  • Dynamic notifications: some real-time content updates (for example, scores, notifications) are not yet automatically announced to assistive technologies via ARIA live attributes. Estimated remediation: Q3 2026.
  • Certain forms: form validation error messages are displayed visually but are not always programmatically associated with the invalid field. Estimated remediation: Q3 2026.
This list is updated at least once every 12 months or upon each significant change to the Platform.

4. Equivalent alternative assistance

4.1. For users who cannot access a particular feature due to a known non-conformity, the Provider offers, free of charge, equivalent alternative assistance in accordance with Art. 22.5 of the Terms and Conditions, by:

5.3. We will make reasonable efforts to respond in an accessible format suited to the requester's needs.

6. Preparation of this Statement

6.1. Evaluation method: self-assessment based on the WCAG 2.1 AA checklist and the EN 301 549 standard, supplemented by manual testing with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver) and automated testing with recognised tools (axe DevTools, Lighthouse).
